SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST:
- The head of the Intellectual Property Department has apologised for personal and sensitive business data being posted on the department's trademark application website and has ordered access to the contents to be temporarily blocked while its internal procedures are reviewed.
- Two jewellery shops in Hong Kong have been accused of selling fake diamonds to mainland tourists, according to an investigative report by China Central Television (CCTV).
THE STANDARD:
- Retail investors plowed a record US$3.62 billion (HK$28.23 billion) into equity funds in January with US$914.03 million invested in Greater China equity funds, the highest yet.
- Hong Kong-listed China Aerospace International Holdings (0031) said net profit last year plunged 59 percent to HK$115 million because of an exceptional gain of HK$176 million for 2005.
