Aradical scheme to change attitudes towards employing older people has won support from one of the Westcountry's largest breweries.

St Austell Brewery has signed up to the Skills Analysis programme to run Age Driver workshops with its employees across Devon and Cornwall.

Ageism has recently been found by an Age Concern survey to be our most common prejudices yet government statistics also show that the population in the South West is ageing faster than anywhere else in the UK.

The Age Driver has been developed by the Fairplay for Older Workers project and was co-financed by the European Social Fund.
