The story, thus far, goes like this: About four years ago, Ahluwalia designed a collection featuring Goth-lite pendants and charms, such as the aforementioned dagger. Some pieces were made of white or yellow gold. Others were carved of ebony and set to hang from hammered chains. The long knuckle-spanning rings he introduced were sort of intimidating and gangster-looking, and were worn by rockers and Beverly Hills moms alike, who'd shop for them at concept stores like L.A.'s Maxfield. But from his line, called House of Waris, people remember the dagger especially.
