There are three stages in a mother's life: Pre-children. Children. Children in school. Before Silda Wall Spitzer had children, her life looked like this-work, work, and work. "One year," says the pretty blonde wife of New York's newest governor, "I billed 3,300 hours." That comes to approximately 9.04 hours a day, which doesn't seem too awful for a corporate lawyer, especially one who was employed by Skadden, Arps, the prestigious New York law firm.
