Mar. 20--The city's Planning Commission on Monday gave a green light to one proposed project on King Mill Pike, but delayed action on another.

The commission voted unanimously to send a rezoning request for land at the intersection of King Mill and Shakesville Road on to the City Council. Developer Terry Bolling told the commission he plans to build a small retail strip center on the nearly one-acre site. Bolling, who has an option to buy the property, wants the lot rezoned from residential to business. For the rezoning to occur, the plans must be approved by the commission and City Council, following a joint public hearing. …
