Thornton teacher dismayed by ouster.

Mar. 15--A south suburban teacher who has been told not to return to work after he provided 8th-graders with sexually explicit material was "devastated" by his district's decision but will likely begin searching for a new teaching job, his mother said Wednesday. Officials at Thornton Elementary School District 154 decided late Tuesday night to place Scott Groff, 27, on paid administrative leave for making Wolcott School pupils read aloud the sexually explicit material in health class.
