Published by the GMTH, this peer-reviewed journal is one of the first of its kind to come out of Germany. Founded in Berlin in 2000, the GMTH works to promote the exchange and discussion between scholars in Germany and other parts of the world. The organization, which has an advisory board of prominent theorists, maintains close relationships with music schools and universities throughout Germany and sponsors congresses. The journal provides articles, editorials, news and reviews and of ten focuses on special topics.
