London's Olympic Authority confirms Lend Lease for Olympic Village contract.

LONDON (AFX) - London's Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has confirmed Lend Lease consortium as developer for the 4 bln stg Olympic Village and Stratford City development contract in East London.

Following long-running rumours, the ODA has finally admitted that it is in exclusive negotiations with the Australian developer for one of the major construction contracts for London's 2012 Olympics.

The Australian construction giant will build the 5,500 homes of the Olympic Village that will house around 17,000 athletes, as well as the bulk of the scheme's legacy housing, commercial and hotel development.
