If international issues are of importance to your business, you may wish to review the following sessions in Las Vegas:

15028. International Industry Day

International Industry Day will give you an insight into the world of international trade transactions by providing deep practical understanding of Incoterms, Export Letters of Credit and the new rules governing them ("UCP 600"), which enter into force on July I, 2007. It all relates to your business. This session will help you gain a better understanding of what Incoterms are and what they are not, the risks and liabilities and how to use Incoterms correctly. Thoroughly revised new rules, UCP 600 (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits) will replace UCP 500, which has been in effect for twelve years. An Incoterms and Letters of Credit expert will highlight the changes and discuss the critical issues exporters need to understand. Find out what will happen to the requirement that documents be consistent, which has long been the greatest source of discrepancies in letters of credit; what the new time limits for examination of documents are; how banks will now examine transport documents; what's going on with discounting time LCs and more.

15043. When Unsecured Open Account Terms Are Too Risky, What Do You Do? Alternatives to Just Saying "No"

Panel Moderator: Tom Corbett, Atradius

Credit Insurance, credit default swaps, receivable puts, receivable sales and more will be discussed in this session. The relative benefits and drawbacks of the techniques that are available to manage trade credit exposures will also be covered. A panel of experts will talk about their real world experiences utilizing the tools mentioned above. Further they will review how they evaluate the alternative solutions and the results of the choices they make.
