Vigilance among insurers on emerging and already-recognised risk is on the rise, according to a new report into global liability trends by Aon.

The report has warned insurance buyers that coverage restrictions are on the horizon. The document, entitled Look Beyond the Obvious, also explains how businesses in most countries and industry sectors will continue to enjoy competitive liability premiums for the fifth consecutive year.

In a statement, Aon said rates have fallen worldwide, with plentiful liability capacity and increased competition expected to drive further reductions in 2007, following a benign year for natural catastrophes.
