Personal lines broker Allen and Allen Group is aiming to generate up to GBP10m in premiums from an online motor insurance venture it is launching this month.

The company, which is embarking on a recruitment drive, said it could hire as many as 30 new staff over the next 18 months and Steve McPherson, sales and marketing director at The A&A Group, said it was hoping to drive traffic to its own site through the growing aggregator community: "We currently have two online ventures, and are launching a new one based on the SSP system Broker King. We will drive traffic from our marketing initiatives with the yellow pages, the specialized press and aggregators such as Confused.com, Go Compare and Uswitch."
