SEOUL, March 1 Asia Pulse - North Korea pledged stronger relations with Libya, which is an oil exporter to the communist country.
The pledge came in a speech by Choe Thae-bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of (North) Korea and chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, at a reception to celebrate the North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's 65th birthday on Feb. 23 hosted by Bashir Ramadan Khalifa Abu Janah, secretary of the People's Bureau of Libya to the DPRK (North Korea).
According to the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Choe said that the relations of friendship and cooperation in all fields will grow stronger by the joint efforts of the two countries.
