SYDNEY, March 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian Share Market continued to gain upward momentum at noon today as it continued to make a slight comeback from yesterday's dramatic slide in stock prices.
At 1200 AEDT, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index gained 24.1 points to 5856.6 while the all ordinaries was up 26.7 points to 5843.2.
The Sydney Futures Exchange saw the March share price index contract up 53 points to 5855 on a volume of 15,722 contracts.
It comes after yesterday's Australian markets experienced the greatest one-day fall in share market prices since 2001's September 11 Terrorist Attacks.
CMC Markets analyst David Land said there was a slight recovery today after a positive lead from the US markets.
