JAKARTA, March 1 Asia Pulse - The government is set to raise cigarette retail prices by 7 per cent from today, under the Finance Minister's Regulation No.118/PMK.04/2006.
"As a follow up to the regulation, Director General for Customs and Excise Anwar Suprijadi has issued a circular No.SE-01/BC/2007," spokesman of the Finance Minister Samsuar Said said on Wednesday.
The circular contained among others guidance for fixing retail prices of tobacco products and an increased ceiling of deferred payments for tobacco excise tapes ordered.
