Police have results of SBI's tests in Plouff's death, but no one is talking.

Feb. 28--The State Bureau of Investigation said yesterday that it has told Winston-Salem police detectives the results of tests on evidence submitted in last week's shooting death of Sgt. Howard Plouff.

Noelle Talley, a spokeswoman for the SBI, said that its lab in Raleigh received evidence from the case over the weekend. Although she would not confirm that the evidence was a bullet, citing SBI policy of not identifying what it is testing, police had already disclosed that they had sent off the bullet that was recovered from Plouff's neck during an autopsy Saturday.
