Feb. 27--LEXINGTON A proposed mixed-use development got unanimous approval last night from the Lexington City Council despite some strong opposition from nearby residents. Westview Development Co. and Daniel Timberlake have plans for town homes, a shopping village and other uses on 16 acres at the intersection of Old Salisbury Road and Old Hargrave Road just outside Lexington. They asked the city council to annex the property into the city so that the development could be under the city's land-use regulations, which are stricter than the ones Davidson County has.
