Feb. 26--A nonprofit organization that supports the families of slain police officers has set up a memorial fund for the wife and children of Sgt. Howard J. Plouff. The Police Benevolent Foundation created the Plouff Trust to allow the community to help financially support Plouff's wife, Joyce, and his two daughters, Brandy, 13, and Holly, 11. Plouff, 41, of Lewisville, died Friday night after he was shot at the scene of a large big early Friday morning at the Red Rooster nightclub at 703 Jonestown Road.
