Feb. 25--DAMASCUS -- Tires, beer bottles, soda cans, sofas and even a toilets or two littered a twisty, muddy road in eastern Washington County. It's a blight on some of Virginia's most scenic views. But on Saturday, more than two dozen people donned gloves and protective wear to rid this and other back roads around the Damascus area of illegal dump sites, helping to return the mountains to their beauty.
