Next month, thousands of Americans will take part in commemorations of Recovery Month, including recent graduates of treatment programs. These are important gatherings for those in the treatment community. But for those who are newly in recovery, walking--but not talking to the media--is recommended, according to Faces & Voices of Recovery (FAVOR). "We've been doing trainings around the country, and one of the issues we're firm about is the media should participate in recovery walks, but should not speak publicly," said FAVOR executive director Pat Taylor.
