Feb. 21--LINDSBORG -- A private investor is proposing to spend an estimated $600,000 to turn Lindsborg's Old Mill Museum into a private tourist attraction that would use community members to dress and act as characters from Lindsborg's Swedish history.

On Tuesday, Lindsborg City Administrator Greg DuMars and the town's economic development director, Annette Duncan, briefed McPherson County commissioners on the proposal from an unnamed entrepreneur.

The county owns the Old Mill Museum, which collects, preserves and exhibits materials related to the town's heritage, especially from 1870 to 1910.
