East Central Division.(Division News)(Music Teachers National Association)(Brief article)
The East Central Division welcomes three new state presidents to their positions:
Janet Piechocinski--Indiana MTA (succeeds Lori Rhoden); Isabelle Tulk--Michigan MTA (Gerardo Ascheri); and Kate Young--Ohio MTA (Christine Geiser Steiner). We also thank the past presidents for their service.
Wisconsin MTA held its 2006 conference October 20-21, at Viterbo University, La Crosse. Guest artist was pianist R. Kent Cook from Illinois Wesleyan University, who performed the Debussy Preludes in recital and conducted a master class. Other presenters included MTNA President Paul Stewart and MTNA Director of Educational Services Rachel Kramer. Seven local associations honored a Member of the Year.
