British fashion designer Julien Macdonald hit back at animal rights campaigners yesterday who have criticised him for using fur in his latest collection.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) urged shoppers to boycott Macdonald's clothes after his London Fashion Week show on Tuesday night.
Fur was the predominant material in the new collection, appearing in almost every outfit.
The designer said: "I love fur. It's a beautiful, natural product from animals." Peta earlier said in a statement: "Julien Macdonald's latest fur-laden catwalk collection didn't surprise anyone.
