Feb. 12--WETUMPKA -- Megan Fabel may never meet the troops she raised money for, but that's not what matters to her.
Megan, 9, and about 35 other schoolmates from the Wetumpka Elementary School Student Council organized and spearheaded a campaign to raise money and get clothing donations for Sew Much Comfort, a nonprofit, volunteer group that makes clothing for wounded troops.
"We want to show our appreciation by giving them clothes because they are helping fight for freedom for our country," Megan said. "I feel (their getting injured) is sad because they helped our country so we need to help them."
