Welcome to Issue 111, which features an in-depth review (in fact, it is the longest review we have ever printed in our nearly 30 years of covering equipment) of an amazing new audio component by Dr. David Rich. Farewells: Long-time contributors Thom Moon and Steve Baird have announced that they are retiring from reviewing. Their final contributions will appear in Issue 112's "Favorite Recordings" roundup. I know both Thom and Steve personally--Steve for about 20 years now (is that really possible?!)--and I wish them both all the best in the future. They are great guys.
Besides saying farewell to Thom and Steve, I must also take a moment to say farewell to you, the readers of The Sensible Sound, for Issue 111 is my final issue as Editor. I may contribute some music reviews from time to time, but nothing is certain, except that as the late George Harrison intoned, all things must pass. Back in 1970, 111 was my draft number, so I guess there is some cosmic significance in that number. That was 36 years ago; I will certainly not be here in another 36.
