MIAMI -- Only 10% of HIV-infected men and 17% of HIV-infected women reported that they took an HIV test primarily because it was offered or recommended by a health care provider, according to unpublished CDC data from 2002.
"This is one of the saddest [statistics] I've seen in terms of how we are doing as health care providers.
