There is no question about it: 40-year-old Raymond Gabaldon was a criminal. According to the Albuquerque Tribune, he'd previously been arrested for "burglary, robbery, auto theft, aggravated burglary, weapons, drugs," followed subsequently by jail and probation.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, police indicated there was a warrant out "for his arrest Dec. 22, for violating his probation on a previous burglary charge, when ... he broke into [a] house on Desert Drive and got himself shot by the homeowner."
