ZURICH (AFX) - Julius Baer Holdings AG does not plan further acquisitions in the near future, the group's chief executive Johannes de Gier said in a telephone conference after the release of expectation-beating full year results.

De Gier also said that the banking group's activities in Asia had advanced significantly with growth "topping all expectations."

Julius Baer does not plan investments in Asia in 2007, he added.

The bank is currently not planning to repurchase UBS's 20.7 pct stake in Julius Baer. However, it might reconsider its position, should UBS put the stake up for sale, de Gier said.
