G+J prepares to do battle with 'Vanity Fair' (,Stern' ringt mit ,Vanity Fair').

Conde Nast, the US publisher, will today launch its magazine 'Vanity Fair' on the German market at a low price of 1 euro. It will aim to compete with 'Gala' and 'Stern', the flagship magazines of German publisher Gruner + Jahr (G+J). In response, G+J has launched an advertising campaign for the two flagship publications and for its 'Park Avenue' magazine.

Exclusive themes have been prepared for 'Stern' and 'Gala', while the management of G+J has indicated that, if 'Vanity Fair' …
