PARIS (AFX) - The French services sector purchasing managers' index rose to a seasonally adjusted 58.8 in January from 57.6 in December, according to market sources.

A reading above 50 indicates that the services sector is generally expanding, while a reading below 50 suggests that it is generally contracting.
