Carrying the tech torch.(Letter to the editor)
I wanted to drop you a brief note regarding my thoughts after reading all the back issues from your recent $20 offer. First let me say that in general I'm pleased with the magazine and will more than likely renew my subscription. Here are a few specific suggestions:
1) Publish more of Dr. Rich's articles, especially long technical overviews. I have kept those. Subjective reviews don't mean much to me, but I really enjoy learning the technical details.
2) The music reviews are very hard to read. The page layout doesn't parse well for me.
3) How do we get an Audio Precision test system for Dr. Rich so the poor guy can to what needs to be done? His references to The Audio Critic prompted me to buy all the back issues of that magazine. WOW! Too bad it is no longer publishing. I hope that The Sensible Sound can pick up the torch and keep the objective flame alive in the audio press. So with that in mind, I offer that I am more than willing to make an annual contribution of say $100 to a fund that ...
