Feb. 3--Mount Airy 77, Bishop McGuinness 68: Robby Reid scored 26 points and had 14 rebounds as Mount Airy clinched at least a share of the Northwest 1-A Conference title by outlasting Bishop McGuinness last night. Dillon Bobbitt and Andrew Webb each added 10 points for Mount Airy (18-5, 14-1). The Granite Bears can clinch the outright regular season title with a win over West Wilkes next Tuesday. J.L. Sadler had 25 points -- including 19 in the second half -- and seven rebounds for McGuinness, and Brad Kenney added 18 points and nine rebounds. McGuinness completed the regular season at 16-8 overall and 12-4 in the conference. The Greyhounds came out on fire in the second half, going 13 of 18 from the field and 16 of 23 from the free-throw line to come away with a win and stay undefeated in the MVC. Kent Brown scored 16 points, Beau Booker finished with 13 and Lee Martin added 12 for the Greyhounds.
