] DEPARTMENT FOR CULTURE, MEDIA AND SPORT 020/2007 2 February 2007 British film certification moves to UK Film Council

From 1 April this year the administration function for British film certification will move from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to the UK Film Council, Film Minister Shaun Woodward announced today. Every film that wants to apply for the new film tax relief must be certified as British. To do this it must pass the Cultural Test - applications for which will be assessed by the UK Film Council.
