WASHINGTON, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - With an eye on the huge demand for consumer goods and high-technology in India, the Governor of the US state of Minnesota will lead a business delegation to the country in October to explore trade and investment opportunities.
"Strong economic growth is unleashing a wave of demand in India. From consumer goods to professional services, high-tech to health care, machinery to processed foods -- the prospects are abundant," Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty said.
"It's important that we make these connections firsthand," he said.
The announcement of the visit comes at a time when some politicians and unions are trying to put the squeeze on outsourcing in the state.
Pawlenty will be heading a 30-member delegation and will be in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai between October 20 and 27. There ...
