TATA STEEL WINS CORUS GROUP BIDDING WAR.
MUMBAI, Feb 1 Asia Pulse - Tata Steel (NSE:TATASTEEL) on Wednesday said it will shortly seek approval of its revised offer from the Board of Corus Group Plc.
The $US11.3 billion transaction is likely to be finished by the middle of March this year.
The Indian corporate giant, which outbid Brazil's CSN in a nerve-wrecking auction that lasted more than eight hours, also said the additional funding required for the raised bid would be funded by a combination of more credit and a cash contribution by Tata Steel to Tata Steel UK.
