Footman James is expected to stay independent after its acquisition by Aon.
Paul Matthews, managing director of Footman James, said: "Footman James will stay Footman James. The existing management team will remain and there are no job cuts planned. The transaction will have no effect on existing policies."
Aon acquired the company from Alchemy Partners after a call for offers from insurers, brokers and private equity groups in September 2006. Mr Matthews commented: "We wanted to satisfy the existing shareholders, retain the strong brand, business and infrastructure we built. This requirement was granted to us by all potential acquirers, and Aon of course."
