The Association of British Insurers is confident changes to its code for tracing old employers' liability policies will help improve its success rate, after the code's worst year since inception.
Lisa Marie Williams, policy adviser for liability and motor at the ABI, told Post it has hired a new dedicated resource to work solely on the tracing code. Briony Krikonan has been appointed as employers' liability insurance co-ordinator and will work the newly formed tracing code helpline.
In addition, Ms Williams said it is currently drafting a booklet aimed at claimant solicitors, on how to use the code, which is set to be launched this month.
