"Power Xtension" extension cords
Wiring is undersized and insulation is substandard, which could cause overheating and, possibly, electric-shock hazard.
Products: 600,000 6-foot-long indoor extension cords sold 11/05 through 5/06 for $1 at Dollar Tree, Dollar Bill$, and Dollar Express stores. Cords are green and can accommodate three plugs. Attached to the cord is a silver counterfeit UL holographic label marked "09/01 E157848 UL LISTED CORD SET BW-3045 13A 125V 1625W." No injuries have been reported.
What to do: Stop using cord and return it to any Dollar Tree store for refund. For information, contact Dollar Tree Stores at 800-876-8077.
