Professor Gary Dorrien, prolific writer on liberal theology and renowned social ethicist, will be installed as Union Theological Seminary's Reinhold Niebuhr Professor of Social Ethics. An Episcopal priest who has authored 12 books and approximately 150 articles, Dorrien is a frequent lecturer both in this country and abroad. In addition to his extensive theological scholarship, he is involved in social justice, human rights, environmental and anti-war organizations.
