A MAN suspected of an attempted abduction of a woman jogger on a quiet Northamptonshire country road has been remanded in custody.

Adrian Gable, aged 51, of St Mary's Way, Roade, appeared before a judge at Northampton Crown Court yesterday.

He was taken from custody, where he had been held since his arrest last year, to face allegations of attempting to kidnap and sexually touch a woman who was out running at 6am near Blisworth.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have twice struggled free from a motorist who tried to force her into a saloon car on Stoke Road in the early…
