In Spain, low-cost regional airline Air Comet is in negotiations with the ministry for public works to reach an agreement similar to that reached with German group LTU. Under the LTU agreement, more than half of Air Madrid's workforce became employees of the German group. LTU also promised to honour Air Madrid tickets, subject to the payment of a surcharge of 250 euros per segment not honoured by the Spanish airline.
