Don't feel too bad for your football coach after his last loss; head football coaches in Division I-A are making an average of $950,000 this year, according to a USA Today study.

While only five Division I-A coaches broke the $1 million mark in 1999, that number is up to at least 42 of 119 head coaches this year. And that doesn't include other benefits, incentives, housing or other perks. There are at least two coaches at the $2 million per year mark and Oklahoma's Bob Stoops is at $3 million.

Perks are getting sweeter too, with many including use of private jets, land deals, luxury suits at the school stadiums, family travel ...
