Emmerdale trio go into pop battle against ratings rivals BY JO ROSTRON EMMERDALE stars will show off their singing talents on Friday in the battle to be this year's Soapstar Superstar.

Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor-Dingle); Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle) and Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) will go head-to-head with a string of soap rivals all hoping to scoop the accolade which was won last year by Corrie's Richard Fleeshman.

Zoe Ball is set to host the new series which kicks off on Friday when the stars sing live every evening to stay in the show.
