THE SPECIAL One has finally started to crack up after refusing to take responsibility for Chelsea's Premiership slump. Instead of looking at himself, or trying to protect his players as they struggle to keep on Manchester United's heels, Jose Mourinho chose to slaughter his team after their dismal 2-2 draw with Fulham. He accused five stars of contributing absolutely nothing to the side this season, while adding that others could not handle the demands of English football. Mourinho has also insisted his team can't defend without John Terry in the side, despite his back four on Saturday costing a staggering GBP50m. Can you imagine Arsene Wenger or Sir Alex Ferguson responding like this? He considers nine of his team to be untouchable but as far as Mourinho is concerned, the only real untouchable is himself. It would be a surprise if Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea board still feel like that after conceding eight goals in eight games. The most damning statement Mourinho made of his side was: "So in this moment in one hand you can find four or five players performing high since the beginning of the season. "And in another hand you can find four or five players performing nothing for the team. We cannot defend, we concede incredible goals and in attack we have one player. "Joe Cole, I think, is an injury for ever or at least for the season. Arjen Robben is out. Didier Drogba is the only one. Sheva (Shevchenko) is not performing, Shaun WrightPhillips is not performing, Kalou is not performing.'' Added to those three players who Mourinho has picked out as being to blame is Khalid Boulahrouz, who was dropped last week after his blunders against Wigan. Although many others would point the finger at Michael Ballack, Mourinho will not have a word said against him.
