BEIJING, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - China's leading Internet IM (instant messenger) service provider Tencent (HKSE:0700) has signed an MOU with China's largest mobile operator China Mobile Ltd. (HKSE:0941) on cooperation in providing mobile IM service on Moternet.
According to the MOU, the two parties will realize interconnection between the Internet IM tool QQ of Tencent and the mobile IM tool Fetion of China Mobile in six months.
nd Tencent will also transplant its mobile QQ service onto the Fetion platform.
Tencent will share the revenue from the service with China Mobile according to the existing rule for Moternet SPs (service providers).
Statistics show that Tencent has 549 million registered users, including more than 100 million active users.
Its peak concurrent user numbers have exceeded 10 million.
