CHINA'S EXPORT OF NICKEL RISES SHARPLY IN JAN-NOV.
BEIJING, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - In the first 11 months of last year, China's export of nickel and its products reached 240,000 tons, valued at US$430 million, increasing 36.8 per cent and 47.5 per cent respectively year on year, according to the latest custom statistics.
Exports of unforged nickel hit 20,000 tons in the period, up 39.9 per cent and accounting for 83.3 per cent of the total export of nickel and its products in the corresponding period. Nickel product exports reached 783 tons, up 64.5 per cent and accounting for 3.3 per cent of the total.
The export of nickel and nickel products to South Korea was 13,000 tons, increasing 9.7 times and making up 50 per cent of China's total export.
The amount of nickel and nickel products exported in the form of processing trade reached 17,000 tons, growing by 26.5 per cent, and taking up 70.8 per cent of China's total export.
