TAIPEI, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - Taiwan will start its "Mobile Taiwan" program at the beginning of 2007 in an effort to build a "boundless" Internet communication network on the island to facilitate mobile and wireless online services, the Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD) said Saturday.
The government will write a budget of NT$10 billion (US$306.9 million) to promote the program that will include a project to build 1,228 km of conduit for broadband lines around the country.
