Jan. 1--VICTORVILLE -- A woman was killed and her family is recovering after a single-vehicle crash on D Street Saturday night.
Sulamita Howard, 24, of Victorville was the driver of an eastbound 2002 Hyundai Accent on D Street just west of Inter- state 15 around 8:05 p.m., officials said.
As the woman drove 0 around a corner, she lost control of the car, sending it off the roadway and onto the shoulder, where the driver's side portion of the car struck a wooden power pole, according to Deputy Marc Bracco of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Victorville station.
