Jan. 1--New Year's resolutions. This is the time of the year where I actually do say "Bah Humbug!" I make them. I break them. Then I beat myself up for the rest of the year for it.

What makes it worst for me is I know people who actually do keep their resolutions. Knowing that it can be done just ticks me off to no end.

So this year I'm taking the advice of all the "resolution professionals" and making goals that I truly think I can keep. Goals that are deeply embedded in me because I know they will make me a better wife, or mother or reporter. Wish me luck.
