BEIJING, Jan 1 Asia Pulse - China's production of coal is estimated to reach 2.3 billion tons in 2006, rising about 7.5 per cent over 2005, according to Pu Hongjiu, vice-president of the China Coal Industry Association.
Pu forecast that the coal production would increase by about 150 million tons in 2007, or up seven per cent.
China's demand for coal is estimated at about 150 million tons in 2007.
Demand in the coke market will be brisk.
