Lexington boys 79, South Davidson 43: Micah Mabe scored 15 points, and Josh Leak added 11 as Lexington crushed South Davidson last night in the semifinals of the LSB Classic at Ledford.

The Yellow Jackets raced to a 21-5 lead in the first quarter, led 41-19 by halftime and cruised in the second half.

Jacob Glenn chipped in 10 points for Lexington, which will play North Davidson tonight at 6:30 in the championship game.

Barrett Clodfelter led South with 12 points.

Ledford girls 50, West Davidson 31: Sam Young scored 14 points, and Ledford pulled away in the second half to defeat West Davidson last night in the LSB semifinals at Ledford.

Chelsea Hill scored 14 points to pace West, which managed only four points in the fourth quarter.

Ledford led just 20-18 at the half but opened things up in the second half. Ledford will play East Davidson for the title at 5 p.m. today.

South Davidson girls 61, Lexington 54: Anne Pauley scored 32 points, including 15 on 3-pointers, to lift South Davidson to a consolation win yesterday.

Chasity Hargrove led Lexington with 32 points but scored only three in the fourth quarter, when South broke open a close game to seal the win. Pauley led the fourth-quarter charge with 11 points.

Darinda Garrett added 11 points for Lexington.

Ethan Worley added 12 points for the Panthers, who led 32-9 at halftime.
